Morgan Jerkins is an award-winning writer, editor, and educator whose work bridges the worlds of culture, media, and meaning. The author of four books — including a New York Times bestseller — Morgan Jerkins has built a career exploring the narratives that shape our world and the ways we tell them.
A two-time National Magazine Award winner, Morgan has served as an editor at Medium, New York Magazine, and ESPN, helping to shape some of the most influential voices in contemporary journalism. Her writing has been recognized for its depth, clarity, and curiosity — hallmarks that extend into their teaching practice.
For the past seven years, Jerkins has taught writing, media studies, and storytelling at institutions including Columbia University, Princeton University, The New School, Pacific University, and Leipzig University. With a Bachelor’s in Comparative Literature from Princeton University and an MFA from Bennington College, Jerkins brings both academic rigor and creative insight to every project.
Currently, Morgan is launching Loop Theory, a new content series tracing historical patterns in today’s news cycles, cultural trends, and public discourse — revealing how the past continuously loops through our present moment.
She’s based in Brooklyn.
